1 Thess. 4: 17– Does the Scriptures
teach RAPTURE?
-
Paul is
speaking of the resurrection of the Saints at the 2nd
coming of Messiah Yahshua (v.16). They are taking up in
the air to meet Messiah. It is like in the old days or
as it is still the custom in many parts of the third
world. A large crowd of citizens go out of the city to
meet a visiting monarch, halfway, carrying palm branches
and flowers, and rejoicing. So the Saints are lifting up
to meet their Crown King in the air. Yahshua the King is
coming to earth.
-
Zechar. 14:4
tells us exactly where on earth Yahshua lends His feet
at His PAROUSIA: the Mount of Olives.
-
He is coming
with all glory, with His myriads of angels, Mat. 25:
31-32, to reign on earth, Rev.5:10. He will give power
to His Saints to rule over the nations with a rod of
iron, Rev. 2: 26-27; 20:6.
-
The word
RAPTURE is not in the Bible. Parousia simply means
PRESENCE or apparition, as used in 2 Thess. 2: 8 and
Mat. 24: 37. A synonymous word is APOKALUPSIS,
apocalypse. All eyes will see Yahshua at His Parousia,
Mat. 24:27, 30 – 1; Rev. 1: 7; Ps 50:3. This is
definitely not a secret.
-
The
so-called Rapture belief is a hoax that started in the
1830’s. No one had heard of it before that time. A
certain Margaret McDonald claim to have received this
revelation. Pastor Edward Irving began to teach it. John
Nelson Darby, preacher and writer of the time, gave it
large scale publication. In the 1850’s gullible
Christians in the United States embraced this two-phase
rapture after Scofield, “a strong believer in Darby’s
teaching,” gave further credence to this error by
including it in his Reference Bible. This is the story
of rapture. The Hebrew Apostles of Yahshua never taught
any such prank. Messianic Hebrews do not subscribe to
man-made dogmas.
– 1 Cor.16: 1-2 A Sunday Sabbath?
-
This was not
a Sunday Sabbath. It was a collection for the Saints.
-
This was a
gathering of goods that each one had to do individually.
The Saints made contribution for the Saints in
Yerushalayim, Ro.15: 25-26. There was a famine going on.
Several messengers were required to take their gifts to
Jerusalem. This was mainly an agricultural society.
– Acts 10: 13
-
Does not
show that it is all right to eat unclean meat.
-
Peter flatly
and vigorously said he never ate and will not eat
anything forbidden by Lev.11 as unclean, v. 17. The
disciples and Yahshua kept kosher. Yahshua did not
change that Law.
-
Obviously,
the vision was not about meat, but people. Clean food or
chosen people, are those who are set apart for the
service of Elohim.
-
Elohim was
showing Peter that all men, Jews or Gentiles, are clean
and they are of equal importance in Yahshua Mashiach,
v.28.
– 1 Tim.4: 4
-
This is
about eating vegetables vs. eating meat.
-
Some people
were teaching to abstain from meat, as biblical dogmas.
Paul called it doctrine of demon.
-
Meat is good
if those who know the truth, v. 3, receive it with
thanksgiving.
-
Yahweh’s
word is the TRUTH, Jn 17: 17.
-
The truth
tells us in Lev. 11 and Deut. 14, which food or meat is
set apart for human consumption and which one is not. It
is unwise to presume to give thanks to Elohim over food,
which the Word of Truth clearly says not to eat.
-
Elohim
created the body. He sent it with a Manufacturer’s Book.
We can’t pray over all kinds of drugs, alcohol,
poisonous plants and all kinds of critters, then claim
to be receiving them with thanksgiving.
-
It’s been
said that some people have the cultural habits of eating
pigtails. Well, those who consume pigtails can only be
the tails.
-
The
Scriptures clearly show that Elohim will utterly destroy
those who eat the disgusting swine flesh, Is.65: 15-17.
Noah did not choose unclean animals and birds to offer
thanksgiving sacrifices to Yahweh, Ge. 8: 20. This shows
that the concept of clean and unclean food predates
Israel. Those that perish in the flood violated that
divine principle.
– Revelation 12: 17
-
Does not
refer to Christian Sunday churchgoers and Christian
Sabbath keepers.
-
It refers
strictly to ‘those who keep the Commandments of Elohim
and the Testimony of Yahshua.’ The Commandments are not
just ten commands. Everything Yahshua and His Apostles
did and taught ought to observe by the Covenant Keepers.
One cannot selectively choose one and live the others.
Commandments Keepers keep Passover, Shavu’ot, etc., just
as the Apostles did.
-
Churchgoers
do not keep the 10 Commands. They do not keep Yahweh’s
appointed feast days. They proclaim themselves to be
‘lawless’. They are not under the Law of Yahweh.
– Why can’t I go
to any church I want?
-
Of course
you are free to do what you want. Covenant Keepers,
however, only do what Yahweh commands in the Torah, the
prophets, and the Messianic Books.
-
Read Deut.
12: 13-14; 29-30.
– My pastor,
deacon, and even a few members of my church are freemasons.
- They are
servants of the Devil. You should not be under the same
roof with them.
- No one
can serve two masters at the same time.
– Am I not saved?
-
That’s a
Christian hoax. When you are saved, you can’t be lost
again.
-
Only those
who persevere till the end shall be saved, Mat. 24: 13.
-
Until then
He can blot out your name from the Book of Life.
– I am a
born-again Christian.
-
This is
another hoax design to mesmerize churchgoers.
-
When you are
born again no physical being can touch you, hurt you,
and see you, unless you want to, John 3: 3-9.
-
When you are
born again, you shall be in the celestial likeness of
Yahshua, not the terrestrial likeness of Adam, 1 Cor.15:
35-49.
-
You shall
have a body that is not corruptible, v.53-54.
-
You will be
in the Kingdom of Heaven, v.50.
-
You shall be
able to look at Yahshua in His present heavenly glory
and not die, 1 John 3: 2; 1 Cor. 1: 7.
-
You will
have been born into the very Family of Elohim, which is
your final destiny.
– Is it true that the earth will
never disappear?
-
In the Book
of Revelation, John “saw a new heaven and a new earth,
for the first heaven and the first earth had passed
away, Rev. 21: 1.”
-
Psalms 102:
25-26, “… they will perish, but you will endure; Yes
they will grow old like a garment; Like a cloak you will
change them, and they will be changed.”
-
Isaiah 51:
6, “… the heavens will vanish… the earth will grow old…”
-
Isaiah 65:
17; 66: 22: I create new heavens and new earth.
-
In the
Garden of Eden, Satan told Eve that the Word of Elohim
was not she heard. Many people are still saying the Word
does not say what we read.
– Where will I spend the
Millennium?
-
We shall
spend the Millennium on earth: Rev.20: 1-11; 5: 10; Mat.
5: 5; Ps.37: 9, 11, 22, 29.
– How many
resurrections are there?
-
There are
two resurrections: one at the beginning of the
Millennium, another one at the end of it, Rev. 20.
– Is Not the ‘Cross’ mentioned In the Bible?
-
The word
found in the Scriptures is STAUROS. “Stauros denotes,
primarily, an ‘upright pale or stake’. On such
malefactors were for execution. Both the noun and the
verb staruo, ‘to fasten to a stake or pale’ are
originally to be distinguished from the ecclesiastical
form of a two beamed ‘cross’. The shape of the later had
its origin in ancient Chaldea, and was used as a symbol
of the god Tammuz (being in the shape of the mystic Tau,
the initial letter of his name) in Babylon, Egypt, and
adjacent lands. By the middle of the 3rd century A.D.
the churches had either departed from, or had
travestied, certain doctrine of the Christian faith. In
order to increase the prestige of the ecclesiastical
system pagans were received into the churches… and were
permitted to retain their signs and symbols. Hence the
Tau or T, in its most frequent form, with the
cross-piece lowered, was adopted to stand for the ‘cross
of Christ’.” (W.E. Vine, Expository Dictionary of New
Testament Words, p.138) Read the book advertized in the
back for more details.
– How Can I Be Sure We Are Very Close
to Yahshua’s Return?
-
Besides
latest world’s events fulfilling prophecies, Yahweh’s
Plan of Salvation for mankind is seems to be intricately
interweaved into the annual Shabbats. I came to this
understanding in 1987. I have testified of it before
several groups. I think you might benefit from it, too.
I’ll be very brief. You will learn more as you grow with
us.
-
The Feast of
Jubilee, Lev.25: 8-17 portrays Yahweh’s Kingdom after
the Millennium, the final stage of man’s spiritual
journey. All yokes are removed. Everyone is set free.
The earth blossoms. See Isaiah 61; 60: 19; Ro.8: 18-25,
etc… Jubilee comes every 50th year.
-
In Ex. 20:
9-10 Yahweh gave us 6 days to labor from the choice we
made in the garden of Eden, but on the 7th He said He’d
take over.
-
6 days =
6000 years, for ‘one day is as a 1000 years, and a 1000
years as one day before Elohim, 2 Pr.3: 8.
-
With this
principle in mind, go to Gen.6: 3. Elohim gave man 120
days to repent. 120 days are also equaled to 1 year, for
1 day is = 1 year, according to Ezekiel 4: 1- 7; Dan.9:
26-27; Rev. 2: 10; also 7th day Shabbat, 7th year
Shabbat, etc.
-
If you
divide 50 years (a Jubilee) into 6000 yrs, there are
exactly 120 Jubilees. Thus man is given 120 Jubilees to
repent, 80 from Adam to Yahshua, 40 from Yahshua to the
End. Why is that important?
-
Some numbers
are very conspicuous in the Scriptures. They did not get
there, accidentally: a) Moses left Egypt when he was 40
yrs old. He came back 40 yrs later. He died at 120; 3 x
40; b) he spent 40 days with Yahweh on Sinai; he came
down and stayed for 40 days; then went back for another
40 days: 3 x 40. There were 120 disciples in the upper
chamber, Acts 1: 15. There are 120 days from Shavu’ot to
Yom Kippur. There were 120 priests blowing the shofar, 2
Chr.5: 12.
– Col. 2:14-23
-
A. No,
Yahshua did not blot out the Law of His Father. He
blotted out the handwriting of physical requirements.
-
This could
not refer to the Law of Elohim. Yahweh’s Law is not
against us. The Law (Torah) is perfect (Rom 7:12). (Ps.
119:97) David loved the Torah (Ps. 19:11).
-
The context
explains what ordinances Paul is referring to. (Col.
2:8) Traditions of man according to the basic principles
of the world. (Col. 2: 20-22) Commandments and doctrines
of men. What kind of ordinances? Touch not, taste not,
and handle not. It certainly doesn’t mean the 10
Commandments. It can’t mean the feasts where people eat
and dance with delight.
-
The Greek
word for handwriting or ordinances was CHEIROGRAPKOU,
TOIS, DOGMASIN. Guilt from keeping man’s law.
-
We sin by
obeying laws of man, not Elohim. What Yahshua blotted
out was our sins.
-
The Torah
wasn’t nailed to the stake. Yahshua was made our sin
offering (2 Cor. 5:21). In His body He took our sins to
the tree (1 Pet. 2: 24). Self-imposed religion profits
nothing, v.23. Tithing, for example, is not
self-imposed. It is a Law from Yahweh El Shaddai.
Keeping the Feast Days at the appointed times is not
self-imposed religion. Let no one judge you in the way
you keep the Feast Days. The regulations of the
Sadducees and the Pharisees had nothing to do with the
spirit of the Torah.
